Here is the road map of Motorola’s upcoming smartphones by the end of 2014. Latest rumors suggest the following line up:

  • Motorola Droid 5
  • Motorola Droid Maxx 2
  • A new Motorola Droid Turbo
  • Motorola Moto S
  • Motorola Moto G 2
  • Motorola Moto X 1
  • Motorola Moto X Play
  • Nexus 6

Earlier this week, a Motorola handset dubbed Motorola XT1254 running on Verizon and tipped to be called Droid Turbo was leaked in some screenshots that listed the specifications of the device. Here are screenshots:

The company is planning a lot for this year and it appears to be a new high end Droid smartphone leaked in benchmark results. In addition, a YouTube video posted by TK Tech News reveals a Motorola phablet that is running Android L. The device is operating on Verizon network and comes with pre-installed Verizon apps.

It has a display bigger than a 5-inch screen with Full HD resolution. However, we’re not really certain if this is the new Moto X+1 (X2) or a new Droid device set to come out this 2014. Back in October, a lot of speculations regarding a 6.3 inch phablet called XPlay came out and according to Phone Arena, a reliable source when it comes to Motorola leaks confirms that the company will be releasing its first ever phablet on the third quarter.

The Motorola Moto S is expected to be one of the first Android Silver handsets and come with a 5.9-inch display, just like the Nexus 6.

However, the sources also suggest that some of the devices, including the X Play may be removed depending on the performance of other handsets and response from the users.

As for the Motorola Moto G 2, it is expected to feature a 5-inch 1280 x 720p HD display running on an 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM. It is also tipped to have an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing alternative.

On Wednesday, Motorola India also confirmed an event on September 5 in the country, where the company is expected to launch the successors of the Moto X and Moto G alongside its much-awaited Moto 360 smartwatch.
